Job Title: Dog Breeder

Description: Must be familiar with genetic problems and desired traits in the species raised and understand the distribution of these traits within the general populations. Work with livestock producers to and researchers to stay abreast of problems which might necessitate a change in the priority placed on inherited traits in the breeding programs. Keep detailed records of dog lines and health problems. Care for dogs and oversee breeding. Manage financials, marketing, and sales.

Degree Required: HS
